Trendsetters Only is proud to announce the official appointment of Valeria Busch as our Creative Director and Stylist Editor for Australia. With a bold creative vision and a decade-long career across fashion capitals, Valeria will be leading our editorial direction, establishing new collaborations, and expanding the magazine’s footprint in the Australian fashion and creative industries.

Having orchestrated the very first Trendsetters Only Australia cover shoot in October 2024, titled Astralian Luminaries, Valeria has already laid a powerful foundation one that blends emotion, cultural nuance, and visual intensity.

“I’m Valeria Busch, and I love creativity in all its forms,” she shares. “With over 10 years of experience in the fashion industry, I’ve had the privilege of working in many fields, from modeling and producing to creative direction and fashion styling, which is where my focus currently lies.”

Her career has been a global journey, spanning collaborations with top creatives and industry figures across Australia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Argentina, and beyond. Her work has been featured in numerous international publications, a testament to her distinctive aesthetic and cross-cultural vision.

“My vision is to infuse our creative direction with a fresh and diverse approach. By collaborating with creatives from different cultural backgrounds, I want to foster a space where fashion becomes fun again — a space that pushes boundaries and positions Australia firmly on the global fashion map.”

“There’s a growing movement around eco-conscious fashion and circular design that deserves global attention. I also want to spotlight the powerful fusion of Indigenous culture with contemporary fashion, and bring forward designers who offer bold, fresh perspectives.”

Originally conceptualized around Valentine’s Day, the shoot evolved into a poetic exploration of the many emotional shades of love — romanticism, intensity, mystery, and self-empowerment.

“The idea was to explore the relationship between the clothes, the model, and the background — how they could elevate one another to create something bold and visceral.”

Look One features a heart-shaped light and a ruffled dress — soft yet powerful, evoking confidence through contrast.
Look Two, with its vivid blue tones and dynamic posing, bursts with nostalgic energy reminiscent of early 2000s editorials.
Look Three shifts the tone — darker, mysterious, emotionally charged, showing a deeper side of the love narrative.

“In the end, the shoot became more than a Valentine’s concept. It was about exploring what it truly feels like to love and be loved — in all its vividness and vulnerability.”
